Media September

September 1, 2014

Hello family,

This week was full of some good walkin' and talkin'. Now that month is over now, we are moving onward to some new ideas for this month, that is coming straight from Salt Lake. The weather is getting colder and it is darker earlier. The fall is upon us, jacket weather is back in business!

We had another road trip to Calgary this weekend, which is always a fun time, we had a long meeting all about what Salt Lake is coming out with, and what Elder Bednar spoke about at the recent education week at BYU. That is, we will be beginning online proselyting in October. This means that our mission will be authorized to use Facebook to help further the work of Salvation. Not sure what exact date we will be start using them, but it will be in October. We use our own accounts, but we can only post things that have to do with the Gospel. I will be on Facebook, so don't be alarmed, when you see my Facebook have some activity in the upcoming weeks. We will then be issued our iPads shortly after we start online missionary work.

Besides the exciting news with the media tools that will begin soon, this week we have been busy with trying to find some new gators to be able to teach. Still no one yet. We did have a cool miracle yesterday. About a month ago, we contacted a young Filipino man, named Eldrin, on the streets. We tried to get his phone number from him, as he was interested, but he had just gotten to Canada, so he did not have a phone or knew his address. We gave him our card, but no one ever has called me from the card. But on Sunday we got a random text while we were in church from an unknown number. It turned out to be Eldrin! We are now setting up a time where we can go teach him. It was a moment like on the Best Two Years, when the guy actually called. I think I heard the song "Hallelujah" in the background playing...

Transfers are coming up really fast. Next Wednesday is transfers, which probably means that I will be shipped out of Medicine Hat. I don't want to leave, but it will be good to switch it up a little. I love this area, for sure my favorite family ward. Have a great week at home. I love you all!

Hurrah for Israel,
Elder Browning III
